WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID?

If you plan to begin college in the SUMMER of 2007:

(June or July)

‘    APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after the 2006-2007 school year begins

‘    Your parents’ income tax information (1040 and W-2) for 2005*

* If your parents didn’t file income tax and were paid in cash, then you need to know how much   they earned in 2005.

‘   Your income tax information (1040 and W-2) for 2005 (if you worked and filed)

‘   Your driver’s license number (if you have one)

‘   Resident Alien Card number (if you have one)

‘   Any other income information from 2005

(such as social security SSI, child support, TANF, disability)

‘   Your parents’ DATE OF BIRTH

‘    If your parents own a business, you need to know how much the business is worth.

(Ask them, “If you sold everything in the business, how much would you sell it for?”)

‘   Your and your parents’ balance of checking and savings accounts

‘   Student and Parent PIN numbers
