Since 2006, Texas Energy Center has been offering up to ten $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors attending high school in Region One school districts participating in the Texas Energy Center program. The Scholarship will be awarded this spring to students who plan to attend a four-year degree at a university or college.
Eligible member school districts are:
La Villa ISD
Monte Alto ISD
Point Isabel ISD
Region One ESC
South Texas Education Technologies, Inc.
Selection is based on academic achievement, SAT or ACT scores, school and civic activities, and essay responses.
The Texas Energy Center has continues to expand its membership offering savings to school districts in the millions of dollars in electricity costs.
