    Our Purpose:
Enable School Nutrition Programs to operate efficiently and economically.

    Our Priority:
Region One ESC School Nutrition Programs will meet State and Federal compliance requirements.

    Our Services:
The Region One ESC Food & Nutrition Program Advisory Council (FNPAC) has been organized as a forum for sharing information and providing guidance related to School Nutrition Programs.  Co-chaired by Food & Nutrition Program Director and the Purchasing Coordinator, the Council is comprised of the heads of School Nutrition Programs of all Region One schools.  The council meets as needed to discuss pertinent agenda items related to the improvement of School Nutrition Programs.  Meetings will serve as an opportunity for the Child Nutrition Program-South Texas Cooperative (CNP-STC) and Food & Nutrition Program (FNP) to solicit feedback and discuss strategies with its members regarding upcoming bids, and other cooperative/purchasing related topics.  As well as, focus on enhancing learning opportunities through researched based curriculum, evaluate its effectiveness, build capacity through trainings and seminars, and facilitate communication between the Education Service Center and Districts.  Through networking and sharing of best practices by the School Nutrition Programs, the Council can assist in engaging a learning community of administrators and directors in discussion and training that focuses on creating, sustaining, and strengthening capacity and skill set.

For the 2015-2016 school year, the FNPAC is focusing on how school nutrition programs can utilize integrated technology learning resources to work collaboratively and efficiently within your own programs and as a network of professionals.  Each topic presented builds on the next, therefore it's recommended that you attend each of the scheduled sessions to obtain the greatest benefit.   We highly recommended you bring your own device, such as a laptop or tablet, to work from.  Don't have one?  No problem!  We will have laptops and/or iPads available for your use.
