    Don't know what the Texas Regional Citizen Bee is?
     

    The Texas Citizen Bee is a statewide civic education program and competition. Students use an online guide and phone app to prepare for a two-part competition.

     Who is Eligible? 
     
    Three High School Students from Grades 9-12
    3 per campus in the Region One ESC area!
     

    Competition:
     
    There are two parts to the competition:
    (1)The written competition is composed of 65 questions from the following categories:
     
    People and Documents
    Constitution
    Landmark Supreme Court Cases and Civic Values and Skills
    Current Events

     

    (2) an oral exam worth 35 pts.

    The top student, teacher sponsor, and parent
    will travel to the Citizen Bee State Competition
    which will be held on April 28, 2018,
    at the Texas Law Center in Austin, Texas.
