Federal Program Grants Support

  • Our Purpose:

In collaboration with Region One ESC, Center for Excellence in School Turnaround within the Office of School Improvement and Accountability and Compliance (SIAC), the overarching purpose is to focus on providing the latest State and Federal legislative updates and information. Districts, charter systems and schools are evaluated under State and Federal accountability provisions.

Under the current State of Texas Accountability System, State and Federal Accountability are now unified under one unified system, comprised of domains that measure achievement, progress, and performance of student populations in the areas of math, reading, progress, and graduation.

Differentiated intervention support is provided for schools that are determined to be Targeted, Additional Targeted, or Comprehensive Support Campuses.

Region One ESC Federal Programs Grants support includes ESSA Consolidated Application training and support, directors' meetings, training, technical assistance, and support for the covered programs of Title I, Part A; Title II, Part A; Supplement Not Supplant; Title I, Part D, Subpart 2; Title V, Part B Rural Low Income; Random Validations, Campus and District Improvement Plans; ESSER; and Foster Care.
