• Instructional Leadership Network
    Held monthly while school is in session, Instructional Leadership Network (ILN) sessions are organized as a forum for sharing information related to critical topics of greatest importance to district and school leadership teams, and for providing guidance and input to the Division of Instructional Leadership, School Improvement, and College Readiness Support.  The Instructional Leadership Network is composed of Instructional Leadership Team members as identified by their district. This may include Assistant Superintendents or Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, School Improvement, Federal Programs, and College and Career Readiness efforts at all Region One public school districts and charter schools. ILN members discuss pertinent agenda items related to accountability, special programs, TEKS, STAAR, school improvement, school leadership, professional development, curriculum development/alignment, parental involvement, and other critical issues at the local, state, and national levels. Opportunities for educator networking and sharing of best practices by district representatives are also integrated into the ILN sessions. Sessions are held at the Region One ESC Main Office in Edinburg, TX and are delivered to remote sites in real time when requested in the registration process.     Campus Principal Advisory Council
    The Campus Principal Advisory Council (CPAC) is comprised of campus principals from throughout the Region One area. District representatives will meet several times throughout the academic school year and once in the summer to discuss critical topics that impact campus leaders. The Center for Leadership Excellence will facilitate the monthly CPAC meetings and encourage participants to provide input to guide the development of services for campus leadership teams. CPAC members will have the opportunity to network with other campus principals and share best practices with one another.  The Campus Principal Advisory Council-Small Schools/Rural (CPAC-SS/R) is an extension of the CPAC and will be comprised of campus principals from small schools or rural campuses from throughout the Region One area. The CPAC - SS/R will meet after the CPAC session, on the same day.

    Finance Advisory Council
    The Finance Advisory Council is organized as a forum for sharing information and providing guidance in the area of school finance. Chaired by the Region One Deputy Director, the Council is comprised of heads of finance of all Region One area school districts. The council meets monthly to discuss pertinent agenda items related to the improvement of financial operations. Speakers are brought in for the professional development of the Finance Advisory Council members. Networking and sharing of best practices by the school district representatives are also accommodated through the monthly meetings. The center has partnered with Moak Casey & Associates for financial consulting services and monthly updates on legislative school finance issues.

    Human Resources Advisory Council (HRAC)
    The Human Resources Advisory Council (HRAC) is composed of Human Resources leaders from districts and charter schools within the Region One area. The HRAC meeting bi-monthly to share information and provide guidance in the area of Human Resources including human capital, staff information, ESSA, educator certification, criminal history background check requirements, FMLA, FLSA, and other state and federal requirements. The HRAC allows for networking and sharing of best practices as well as the acquisition of feedback from HRAC members regarding services, products, and support  to operate more efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the HRAC meetings provide an opportunity to share current information directly from TEA and the Texas Legislature.

    Purchasing Advisory Council (PAC)
    The Purchasing Advisory Council is comprised of purchasing agents of all Region One area school districts and charter schools. The council meets monthly to discuss pertinent agenda items related to the improvement of purchasing operations. The PAC serves as an organized forum for networking, sharing of best practices, improving current procedures, forging new avenues to source and procure products and services, and professional development in the field of purchasing.

    Regional Advisory Council of Superintendents
    The Regional Advisory Council of Superintendents (RAC) membership for the Region One area is comprised of public school Superintendents and Charter School Superintendents/CEOs. RAC plays a critical role in providing direction to the ESC in the development and delivery of products, services, and support, which fulfills the ESC's role in providing assistance to public school institutions to improve student performance, operate more efficiently and effectively, and carry out mandates by the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Legislature.
