Lending Library
-
Region One ESC maintains an inventory of assistive technology devices and hardware that is available for short-term loan to districts in order to conduct student evaluations. This library is designed for the purpose of allowing schools to try assistive technology equipment being considered for student use.
The typical length of a loan period is six weeks. These timelines may be extended by the Region One Assistive Technology Specialist if the device is not requested by another district. Augmentative communication devices will be loaned only if someone on the student’s AT Team has received training on the device. Software applications are available for loan on a limited basis due to copyright issues. Devices will be made available in order of requests received.
