Local Needs Assessment (LNA)

  • The LNA is an evaluative process based on the results of MEP program services. Program evaluation is required by Federal Regulations and provides local MEP staff with guidance and resources necessary to identify the needs of migrant students, which can lead to improved planning and services needed to achieve Federal program and State performance goals. An LNA Tool Kit was provided by the state to help local agencies gather required data from various stakeholders as well as student performance data. Information gathered from each tool will provide a larger scope for which to be able to make critical program decisions to ensure migrant student achievement.
