    Graduates from Outside the US

    An applicant who has met the minimum academic criteria through credentials from outside the United States must seek transcript evaluation into a U.S. degree equivalency by an approved TEA credentialing evaluation service.  The applicant must also demonstrate English language proficiency by:

    • complete an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States, not including U.S. Territories
    • complete an undergraduate or graduate degree at an institution of higher education in a country outside of the United States that is approved by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)
    • achieve acceptable score on each of the four (4) areas of the TOEFL iBT exam (Test of English as Foreign Language): SPEAKING - 24; LISTENING - 22; READING - 22; and WRITING - 21.
