Interactive Pearson TExES 268: Candidates will pay $10 exam fee on the day of scheduled practice exam.

Principal as Instructional Leader (268) Educator Certificate

Principal candidates will need to pass the Principal as Instructional Leader (268) exam and complete the Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL) to obtain a standard certificate.
Principal as Instructional Leader (268): The TExES Principal as Instructional Leader (268) exam is designed to assess a candidate's knowledge and skills of an instructional leader in an entry-level principal's role. The assessment includes both select and constructed-response questions based on domain and competency statements.

- The assessmnet framework includes a breakdown of knowledge and skills within each of the six (6) domains and eleven (11) competencies:
- School Culture (competencies assessed 001-002)
- Leading Learning (competencies assessed 003-004)
- Human Capital (competencies assessed 005-006)

- Strategic Operations (competencies assessed 009-010)

Performance Assessment for School Leaders - PASL: In addition to the 268 exam, the Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL) is a performance based assessment designed to assess a candidate's ability to impact instruction and student learning while participating in practicum experience.

- Task 2: Supporting Continuous Professional Development
