    For more than 50 years, educators have relied on Region One ESC to help them and their students achieve at exceptional levels. The expert staff in our Educator Preparation Program (EPP) develop professional learning services and resources in collaboration with area districts to ensure that legacy continues.

    Operated from the EPP, the Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) is designed to address the professional development needs of practicing administrators as well as opportunities to further enhance the leadership skills of prospective principalship candidates. CLE provides services that include the Integrated Leadership Principal Preparation Program (ILP3) and custom training targeting the unique needs of area administrators. These services include workshops, institutes, and conference events. ILP3 is described in more detail below.

     


    Leadership Institutes

     
    The CLE delivers pre-scheduled and custom workshops and institutes on topics pertinent to high-quality, school leadership. Each topic delivered during ILP3 and Project P.a.C.E. cohort trainings may be expanded and delivered in the form of an institute. Additional topics are also available. These sessions are designed and delivered by our expert staff to help you ensure staff members receive impactful training on key topics necessary for assuring high quality outcomes at your site. Leadership institutes may be delivered in one-day or multi-day sessions.

     AEL/T-TESS/T-PESS Certification
     
    Region One ESC offers trainings and certification in Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL), the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS), and the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-PESS).  
     
    T-TESS is the Commissioner of Education's recommended appraisal system for public schools in the state of Texas. Certificates are required from both ILD or AEL and T-TESS in order to appraise teachers in the state of Texas.
