Digital Instruction

  • Due to the restrictions that COVID-19 has placed on our education system, there is an increased need for delivering instruction through technology, such as video, software, and smart web applications. Digital instruction offers students the opportunity to receive learning experiences that may or may not include live interaction with a teacher. Digital instruction includes a remotely located teacher who is accountable for a student’s learning outcomes.

Region One is prepared to continue to support teachers by continuing to provide high-quality instructional supports. Digital Instruction is designed and developed with curriculum structure characteristics, which may include:

    • Accountability: monitor digital instruction effectiveness and adjust with different students as needed
    • Advancement: allows for individual advanced pacing and a repetitious cycle of reteaching until a topic is mastered
    • Alignment: units of instruction are aligned to state standards and the district’s sequencing of curriculum
    • Application: includes applying the knowledge and skills through conceptual, creative, and analytical
    • Assessment: includes reports of individual progress trends and frequent assessment of mastery of skills
