Chris & Nik Nikic
Father and son, Nik and Chris Nikic, have inspired people around the world with their "1% Better" challenge. Chris Nikic is a 21-year-old with Down Syndrome and other associated disabilities. He is a triathlon competitor, author, and motivational speaker. In November of 2020, Chris became the first person with Down Syndrome to complete an IRONMAN® competition. Along with his father, Chris has published 2 books: 1% Better: Reaching My Full Potential and How You Can Too and 1% Better: The Chris Nikic Story, an illustrated children's book. The premise of their book, "1% Better", is that a one percent better mindset can help others achieve their goals by measuring success by improvements rather than victories.
