The Division’s offices of Information Services, Software Development, Instructional Technology, and the Center for eLearning are dedicated to helping improve student achievement and success throughout the entire region.
Information Services
The Information Services group provides a variety of technology and data services to school district partners to assist in operating in an efficient and effective manner. Services include data processing, PEIMS, business process support, TxEIS, and iTCCS system support, and media resources.
Product Development
The Product Development group develops innovative solutions in response to the needs of Region One departments, programs, and district partners. Leveraging modern web, database, and information security technologies, the Product Development group builds scalable solutions to help streamline business processes.
Instructional Technology
The Instructional Technology group is committed to innovative solutions for increased student performance for all students. New tools and strategies are continuously explored to empower both students and educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to fully participate in a connected, technology-rich society. Additionally, a variety of training and technical services are available to support district programs and service needs. Instructional Technology includes services delivered by the Learning Resources Integration (LRI) department.
Center for eLearning
The Center for eLearning works to support learning in online modalities to enable the current and future generations of learners to take advantage of electronic learning tools and offers a variety of services to augment and support district eLearning initiatives.
Training
The Division of Technology for Learning offers training through the Annual Technology Conference and certification boot camps The conference is a Region One tradition at which everyone affiliated with technology at districts can find supports and cutting edge equipment to help children learn. The certification camps are designed in collaboration with a university partner and deliver necessary training and resources so participants may achieve certification in A+, Network+, and/or Security+ in less time and at a lower cost compared to training currently available.
