Assistive Technology

Region One ESC provides Assistive Technology services through the Special Education Program. The Assistive Technology Specialist provides workshops and technical support which enables students with disabilities to access the curriculum, increase independence and participate actively in education and life activities.
The support includes:

Providing supports to participants of the Assistive Technology Team Project

Loaning assistive technology devices and special adaptive software based on need and availability

Provide on-site technical assistance and professional development for all areas of Assistive Technology, including:
- Overview
- Assessment
- Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Computer Access and Mobility
- Accommodations for Instruction and Assessment
