Financial, educational, government, and community agencies will be on hand ready to showcase their financial literacy resources through interactive breakout sessions and networking opportunities. Sessions addressing personal financial literacy for educators will also be available.

Moses Castillo

Sam Houston Elementary, Weslaco ISD - Librarian Media Specialist

With over 25 years of experience in education, Moses Castillo has dedicated his career to igniting a passion for learning in students. After earning his Bachelor's in Biology and Chemistry and Master's in Library Science, This tech-savvy librarian has worn many hats in the education field. His accolades include being named Campus Teacher of the Year and receiving the Texas Science Olympiad Regional Director Award.

Eric Alexander Madera

University of Texas Rio Grande Valley - President of Club Esports at UTRGV

Eric Alexander Madera is a freelance commentator and the founder and CEO of God Speed Esports, a team that has achieved Top 4 in the Asia-Pacific Region and holds the record for the longest Rocket League match in South American history, where they've also secured a Top 12 placement.

In 2021, Eric was recognized as the top commentator on Beyond Ranked, a marketplace connecting gamers with professional commentators for their events. He is also a trailblazer in scholastic esports, founding the Texas Prospect Cup, a competitive league designed for schools in the Rio Grande Valley and across Texas to showcase and develop their skills in a structured environment.

Veronica Galvan

Weslaco High School, Weslaco ISD - Animation and Game Design Teache

Veronica Galvan is an experienced Animation and Game Design teacher with 21 years in education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology from South Texas College and a Master's in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University and has dedicated the last five years developing the Animation and Game Design Program at Weslaco High School.

She currently sponsors Business Professionals of America and Skills USA. Additionally, she founded the school's first Esports club, fostering a vibrant community for students passionate about competitive gaming.
