The certification program focuses on key areas essential for successful Substitute Teachers.

Over the course of two days, participants will engage in interactive sessions covering

• Instructional Methodologies
• Classroom Management

participants will also receive 6 hours of electronic observation training.

This component offers valuable insights and practical guidance on observing and supporting classroom instruction. By honing their observation skills, future Substitute Teachers will be better equipped to provide meaningful and impactful learning experiences for students.

The Human Resources Advisory Council (HRAC) consists of esteemed Human Resources leaders representing various school systems within the Region One area. This council convenes bi-monthly with the objective of exchanging information and offering guidance in the field of Human Resources, encompassing vital aspects such as human capital, staff information, ESSA, educator certification, criminal history background check requirements, FMLA, FLSA, and other pertinent state and federal regulations. The primary purpose of the HRAC is to foster networking and facilitate the sharing of best practices among its members. It serves as a platform for HRAC participants to seek feedback from their peers on services, products, and strategies that can enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within their respective organizations.

This academy offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of Human Resources. The HR 101 Academy focuses on equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills pertaining to various HR functions. Over the course of two days, attendees will engage in interactive training sessions that cover key areas including recruiting, certifications, contracts, compensation, HR compliance, and handling grievances. By addressing these critical aspects, the academy aims to enhance participants’ understanding and proficiency in overall HR operations.

With OneApp, partnering school systems gain complete control over the job posting process. Administrators can effortlessly post, edit, and delete job vacancies directly through the user-friendly interface of the OneApp System.

This streamlined approach ensures that job listings are accurately maintained and promptly updated. One*App’s comprehensive Applicant Tracking System provides administrators with full access to candidate resumes and contact information. This robust feature enables efficient candidate evaluation and selection, empowering administrators to make informed hiring decisions with confidence.

Our most popular offering, the Personnel Services Cooperative offers member districts an extensive range of services specifically tailored to support their efforts in recruiting and retaining exceptional, certified, and compassionate teachers.

Our comprehensive services are designed to meet the unique needs of school systems and facilitate the recruitment and retention of highly qualified educators. We provide job fair representation on behalf of member districts, actively promoting your district and its vacancies to prospective teachers regionally and out of region.

In addition to recruitment support, we offer quarterly professional development sessions designed to enhance the skills and expertise of educators in member districts. These sessions cover a wide range of relevant topics, ensuring that teachers have access to ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Our cooperative also provides valuable assistance in Teacher Records Review and Certification guidance. By leveraging our expertise, member districts can ensure compliance and streamline their certification procedures.

In conjunction with the comprehensive services provided by the One*App Consortium, the HR Employees at Region One ESC take charge of the entire recruitment process on behalf of our small district partners. Our dedicated HR team handles various critical tasks, including vacancy management, candidate screening, selection, and conducting interviews. By entrusting the recruitment process to our experienced HR professionals, our small district partners can focus on other essential responsibilities, confident in the knowledge that their staffing needs are in capable hands. We employ effective strategies and utilize industry best practices to attract and identify top-quality candidates who align with the unique requirements and culture of each district.
