We provide learning services for educators on effective ways to teach using research-based instructional strategies. Our workshops and online sessions focused on GT education and are mandatory for teachers, administrators and counselors who provide services or oversee GT programs.
Learning services include:
- Educator professional development on research-based effective instructional strategies;
- Required GT workshops and online sessions for educators, administrators, and counselors;
- GT student summits;
- GT parent workshops;
- Resources for school and district improvement;
- Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) implementation; and
- TPSP Assessment scoring using Rubrics for Primary, Elementary, Secondary and Exit Level.

Teachers as well as administrators who have supervisory duties for service decisions are required to complete a minimum of six (6) hours of professional development that includes nature and needs of gifted/talented students and service options for gifted/ talented students (19 TAC §89.2(4)).
For Counselors
Counselors who work with gifted/talented students are required to complete a minimum of six (6) hours of professional development that includes nature and needs of gifted/ talented students, service options for gifted/ talented students, and social emotional learning (19 TAC §89.2(4)).
