This program area attempts to bring greater awareness of the rich cultural diversity among students in our region.  Trainings are conducted with school personnel on the topics of meeting the needs of students from each sub population as shown in the TAPR.

When one or more student sub groups is not achieveing, there are research-based strategies and supports that will address the cultural needs of the student populations that attend our schools. Through this program area, teachers and school leaders become aware of the role of culture in the teaching and learning cycle and how to use knowledge of cultural norms when in building and maintaining relationships with students and their families. This program also offers training and support for campuses with low teacher morale and campuses seeking to increase parental involvement.
