Cycle 12 Information Meetings will be held via webinar. FULL PARTICIPATION in one of these meetings is a mandatory component of the application process for all applicants.
Important Session Information:
This information meeting is specifically for individuals interested in pursuing their master's degree in speech language pathology. Registrants will learn general information about the program as well as the detailed information and the specific criteria required for the application process. The program's purpose is to decrease the shortages of SLP's in the public schools, therefore, participants attending this informational meeting must understand that this particular program's focus is to ameliorate the shortages of SLPs in the schools of Texas. Additionally, attendees interested in seeking post-baccalaureate certificates in Bilingual SLP, Deaf and Hard of Hearing for SLPs, and Multicultural and Diversity Studies for SLPs in addition to their master's degree will have an opportunity to learn more about these certificate requirements.
Pursuing a master's degree in speech pathology requires individuals who do not already have a bachelor's degree in the field to take "leveling" coursework. This information will also be discussed in detail.
